If I do the fifteen online quizzes today, which are all of the remaining ones for the quarter, I won't have to do them later and can be lazy and chill when everyone else is stressing in Nov/Dec.
If I do the project now by myself, I don't have to deal with a group later.
If I apply for the scholarship now, I won't have to worry about the due date.
Moral of story: it SEEMS like I'm super productive because I get shit done way in advance, but SECRETLY?
IT IS SHEER LAZINESS.

And the ones I find to apply for a VERY narrowly tailored: one big one I couldn't apply to ruled out ER Nurse as an approved specialty!
I think it's more about crafting a compelling essay that overcomes our White Maleness. (It's hard to beg for money from a position of perceived privilege!) But the big one I got for this year was one of 135 given out in various categories, but at the award ceremony, I was clearly in the extreme minority: I WAS TALL. *grin*
But all kidding aside, I spent the last year getting all my pre-requisites and co-requisites done, and if I had $5 for every assignment I did early out of proactive laziness, I wouldn't need a scholarship. Truefact!
