I'm sure I'm with any number of others in this, but my grudge with the day isn't the celebration of love but rather the rampant commercialism that become associated with the act. Apparently I'm not really loving someone unless I *buy* them something. This artifical connection rather devalues our feelings, stating that there is a quantifiable amount which sufficiently expresses our devotion to each other. It is this act, this captialistic social convention, which I detest.

Scorching hot monkey sex is way better than any card, candy, or semi-precious stone in my opinion.
